Zondag 29 maart van 14 tot 16 uur is Johnny LaPorte te gast bij Gouwestad Radio voor een interview met Jorgen Veldman. LaPorte is gitarist van Barrelhouse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Bluesband Barrelhouse behoort tot de langst bestaande bluesbands van Nederland. De band werd opgericht in 1974 en heeft sindsdien een indrukwekkende muzikale geschiedenis opgebouwd. Hoewel Barrelhouse begin jaren \u201980 tijdelijk uit elkaar ging, maakte de band in 1993 een sterke doorstart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Door de jaren heen heeft de bezetting af en toe gewisseld, maar de kern van de band is altijd gevormd door de originele leden. Deze basis bestaat uit:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bob Dros \u2013 drums<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Jan Willem Sligting \u2013 bas, contrabas, accordeon<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
Naast zijn werk als gitarist is Johnny LaPorte ook actief als schrijver. In december 2023 verscheen zijn boek \u201cZwijgen, Zweeg, Gezwegen\u201d. Daarnaast bracht hij een solo-cd uit onder de titel \u201cThat\u2019s Me\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Barrelhouse heeft tot en met 2025 opgetreden en laat daarmee een rijk muzikaal erfgoed achter binnen de Nederlandse blues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
